NBDB supports Asian Festival of Children's Content
Calling all publishers, children's book writers, illustrators, librarians and storytellers! On May 6 to 9, Singapore will host the Asian Festival of Children's Content featuring an unprecedented list of international speakers in the field of publishing and media.
The 4-day festival will highlight lectures, forums, workshops, and an Asian publisher's syposium consisting of workshops from leading
players within the industry, interactive panel discussions led byprofessionals, all designed to foster
knowledge, learning and strategies for building a successful children’s publishing industry.
Organized by the National Book Development Council of Singapore, the 2010 Asian Festival of Children's Content will be held at The Arts House, Singapore.

NBDB to host a panel discussion on Miguel Syjuco's Ilustrado

The wait's almost over, guys. Ilustrado's big debut in Manila is near! The NBDB will host an afternoon conversation on Philippine lit and publishing with Miguel Syjuco at the Filipinas Heritage Library on April 14, 2010 at 3 pm. Man Asian shortlisted novelist Jose Dalisay will join him, and so will Palanca publisher Antonio Hidalgo. Ilustrado is published by Macmillan. Stay tuned for more details!

Awards last November 14, during the awards ceremonies held at the AyalaMuseum in MakatiCity.
